Shelve it for good or release it streaming on Hulu and rename it. With the mutants coming to MCU, 2020 is way too late to start releasing Fox-men stuff.

Why does everyone think that the X-Men are coming to the MCU?

You should probably check your news feed for 2018 and 19.

Swinging for a home run and striking out, more often than not.

We have all of two decent X-Men movies (First Class, and Days of Future Past) and one decent Wolverine movie.

My guess is that Fox was second guessing themselves and it never stopped

It actually got another release date? That will no doubt be delayed again. Just release it on the new streaming service. I do want to see it. I just have no faith it's going to actually ever make it to theaters. And that's okay.

Just rework it to make it the first MCU mutant movie.
And continue with Magma, Karma and Warlock and then X-Force, X-Factor Gen X, NXM, etc.
Bringing back the old, killing the young: that's the Marvel way

This film screams fan4stick level of bad no way should this be the introduction of Mutants into the MCU.

It’s in the contracts that it can’t be released on streaming. Unless they rework the contracts and I doubt Disney wants to do that. So it will be released in theaters.

Lauren Shuler Donner in a Deadline article https://deadline.com/2019/02/new-mut...er-1202549615/

She plan out said she hopes New Mutants gets a theatrical release and Disney doesn't just put in on Hulu. If she says there is a possibility it can end up on Hulu and that's all at Disney's discretion I'll take her word.

Also there are no contracts that guarantees a films theatrical release films get put to DTV, Streaming, and even shelved after being made all the time instead of the originally planned Theatrical release.

Disney has the rights back yes, but I haven't heard anything about them bringing mutants into the MCU

Disney is a company that doesn't like wasting money. Spending that much cash to get their rights back and not using them would be exactly that.

Recent Kevin Feige interview during Endgame press tour.

    Marvel Cinematic Universe?

“It’ll be a while,” Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige told io9 during the recent “Avengers: Endgame” press junket, when asked about bringing the X-Men into the MCU.

“It’s all just beginning and the five-year plan that we’ve been working on, we were working on before any of that was set. So really it’s much more, for us, less about specifics of when and where [the X-Men will appear] right now and more just the comfort factor and how nice it is that they’re home. That they’re all back. But it will be a very long time.

They didn’t spend all that money for that. They didn’t buy the rights. They bought Fox.

Who had the film rights either films rights are still owned by Fox which is now owned by Disney or they reverted back to Marvel who is also owned by Disney no matter how you slice it Disney has the film right to X-Men and Fantastic Four characters.

Let’s get back on topic please. This isn’t the thread to discuss what Disney will do with Mutants integrating into the MCU. Please keep it about the film.
    You brought back Wolverine
