I just wanted to be careful since there was complaining before from people who hadn't seen it yet or finished watching it and Maisie just kind of casually mentions what happens at the end of Episode 3 of Season 8 (which is either the great moment in tv history or the most disappointing moment of tv history, depending on your POV).

When we originally sold it, we sold it conceptually as a trilogy, the second being an alien invasion movie set in Brazil, where Roberto is, where his father is, who is part of the Hellfire Club. Then the last one was going to fit in with the X-Men movies and we were going to do Inferno, that crossover, which had all these supernatural and satanic elements of horror.

The idea was to try to make a different genre of horror movie with each of these movies. That was the idea, but it wasn't something we thought about much because of the merger and everything else.

We told [Anya] that in the third movie, there would be two versions of her. That's basically what we told her, that there would be two versions of her and that she would have to play two sides of herself. We get excited about it!

How was FOX planning on adapting inferno anyways, you would need like three other films to introduce Madelyne Pryor, Nathan, Sinister, and the return of Jean. No you dont. Inferno was a major event which had 2 connected but separate stories. The NM portion did not include Maddie, Nathan, Sinister or Jean at all. Its not that hard to adapt. A gate from Limbo to Earth opens up, threatening to turn it into hell with people and objects being corrupted by demonic influence. Thats the basic premise. You can get away with completely skipping all of the X-men elements bc its not needed and did not come into play anyway

They likely wouldn't have had any of those characters. It would have been very different from the comics version and likely had Belasco instead of N'astir with the focus entirely on the Limbo invasion of earth and the culmination of Magik's character arc.
