It's not really so much the Batman thing that would piss people off. It's preventing them from arresting people who are openly involved in a massive gang war because he's solely fixated on Batman. Especially if cops start getting caught in the cross-fire of said gang war. Officers who may not even like Batman will start thinking to themselves "this guy is preventing us from doing our jobs and his obsession with the bat is getting good cops killed, screw him."

If he really believes that, then he's in for a rude awakening. There's no such thing as "too powerful or protected" when it comes to the Joker. If he wants to get to you, then he'll find a way.

Which is why it will be fun watching a man who believes himself safe discover that he is not safe. Not at all.

    I agree whole-heartedly!

Cool Issue, liking this more than Future's End. Nice penguin casino intro and liked the action shots and dps in the beginning sending Falcone a message. Also liked the tension of seeing the bloody phonebooth and waiting to see what happened to Steph. Thought it was pretty obvious that Jason Bard blew the arrest on purpose to make sure batman got a way, surprised that the crooked commish didn't see that right away but I guess he does come off as a buffoon. Curious to see more in Hong Kong.

Last issue had me worried for the title. This issue was very entertaining. Can someone remind me everything we know and have seen concerning Tiger Shark since the New52 began?

    You're lookin' at it.

Scott Snyder reinvention of Silver Age frogman on water skis. Biggest smuggler in Gotham, thinks he's descended from like Egyptian royalty. Keeps endangered species as a gimmick and feeds people to psychologically damaged, aggressive orcas. Associated with Roadrunner, who is also a smuggler. All this is still from "Hungry City", where the connection that these two smugglers have with Sonia Branch (Zucco) kind of opens a natural doorway for their current Falcone involvement.

Snyder's "Whisper Gang" was introduced New 52 and is likely tied up in the same network of smugglers - covering trains rather than highways or ocean-based smuggling.

I believe T.S.'s only New 52 appearance so far is in Batman # 12 by Andy Clarke - the big Harper Row spotlight issue. Batman battles him in the sewers. He gets away. Great art. Assuredly as this Killer Croc sewer society story plays out it might overlap (we already know it's overlapping with the Cult/Blackfire stuff. Gotham's sewers are a massive part of this Eternal thing.)
Retro315 no more. Anonymity is so 2005.
