I think it would've been a better story had it taken place in the 616, in some ways.
I would've liked to have seen Miles brought in as Parker's pal. Guess it didn't jive with what was going on in ASM at the time.

Bendis wasn't writing Amazing Spider-Man. So I can see why it didn't have a follow-up in Amazing.
Also explains why the time-line in Ultimate with Miles, May, Gwen, and MJ is a little on the confusing side.
