I was very surprised to find myself buying Pretty Reckless "Going to Hell". I heard Heaven Knows, a song off the album on the radio and liked it not knowing who the band was. My surprise is that Taylor Momsen of Gossip Girl is the singer has what I consider a decent voice for heavy music. The album's not great but a fairly solid effort and I enjoy Going to Hell and Heaven Knows off of it.

just got this the other day --

even tho it's all stuff I have, I really liked the compilation (I'll bet it's a better song list than the KISS 40 set that's coming out this month).

this is a Russian 2CD set:

I also recently got this, which is fantastic (lead singer from the Deftones, doing goth):

I got the This Is Boston Not L.A. cd today. Probably one of the best punk compilations out there. Also comes with the "Unsafe At Any Speed EP". Good stuff.

Brand new two-disc expanded edition. My favorite Hans Zimmer score, and pretty much the last of his I really liked until Man of Steel and The Lone Ranger. Available from the excellent La-La Land Records, in case anyone is interested.
