My Record Store Day haul was much smaller than I thought it was going to be today. The store I shop at didn't have a special sale like they usually do.

So I got my copy of the Cheap Trick vinyl release Found New Parts. And then I picked up three albums that came out yesterday which were the new Lita Ford CD Time Capsule, two more of the Phil Collins reissue series (No Jacket Required and Testify) and replaced my no longer working cassette copy for a CD version of the Ozzy Osbourne / Randy Rhoads album Tribute.

I picked up three Metallica CDs today.

I stopped off at Best Buy and in their bargain CD bin, they had discs for $5.99. I grabbed up a copy of Load to replace my now broken down cassette copy.

But I think Best Buy screwed the pooch because I also got the newly remastered editions of Kill 'Em All and Ride The Lightning from the same $5.99 bin. Given that the albums were just released last week, I can't imagine why the store would put them in the "GET RID OF THEM FAST AND CHEAP" bin so quickly.

I picked up three CDs today to fill holes in the collection or replace a cassette that finally died out.

The cassette upgrade to CD album was Bad Company's 10 From 6.

The two holes in the collection were filled by remastered editions of Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet and Van Halen's 1984.

I got all three from the bargain bin racks at Best Buy.

Picked up two albums by Twenty One Pilots recently. Vessel and Blurryface.

Modern popular music isn't something I typically enjoy, but I really like these guys. Blurryface is especially a pretty well put together album.

However, the new release from Red Fang due out sometime this year has me waiting with baited breath.

I picked up the Resurrection Kings self-titled debut release and two country music releases (Jennifer Nettles - Playing With Fire, Mary Chapin Carpenter - The Things That We Are Made Of).

I remember buying this on cassette when the album was originally released.

One of my relatives from aboard brought me the vinyl version as a gift when it came out, which got lost in my numerous moving.
This new deluxe version CD is a great improvement. It includes all the songs of the album collected here from different track listings it was released in some countries, plus the rare B-sides. Even Fox's first singles with her band SFX from before her Touch Me era are here and to a lesser extent some re-mixes.
