Tyrese? Meh. Talk about taking all my excitement out. I just don't see him playing a serious ex-marine architect.

Same. I just don't see Tyrese as Green Lantern.

I do appreciate his enthusiasm for the role though.

He was interesting in the Transformers movies
I can see him playing a hyped up military version of John Stewart

I liked him in Transformers so I think he can pull it off as well. Given good script for both, I think the real question will be how he bounces off Chris Pine or whoever plays Hal. If they want to have a 'cop buddy movie' kind of feel, chemistry between the two on both sides will be key

If the majority of fans have a problem with the choice, then he'll do great because the fans are never right about casting choices. Seriously though, the most important point he made was the international fanbase. He has that. That's the key to black actors and leading roles is whether or not they can draw outside of the states. That's why Will Smith is a gold mine. The Rock. When it comes to blockbusters, if you can't pull outside the states you get passed on. If true, I'm excited!

Good for John fans! For what it's worth, I haven't seen Kyle fans going through the same effort throwing names in the ring to try to get their guy cast....

It's all about the script...makes no difference to me who plays Hal or John. They've got to find a way to translate the comics to the screen without it coming off as ridiculously lame

Let's mix Lethal Weapon with Three Musketeers and we can have all of earth lanterns in the movie.

    I survived the 2014 reboot and I didn't even got a lousy t-shirt.

Yeah he might not be my first choice but he was pretty good and he's got a following and is good at hype. I'm not mad at this.

That's the rumor for the GL movie. I don't know which would be on the JLA but I'd be happy with Tyrese in that group.

I know right, photoshop and all that. Kinda reminds me of when Sean Young came out as Catwoman on Joan Rivers.

I say no to 'Jody Jo' as John Stewart btw.
Beefing up the old home security, huh?

What kind of fans called for this? If Warner are really going in the direction of Gibson, then the movie's already failed. The best Gibson can do is comedy, and he's not even particularly great at that either. I mean let's be honest, he's the butt of half the jokes in the F&F franchise.

Michael B. Jordan as Hal Jordan

No need for any other human Green Lanterns. Though Chris Pine looks sooo much like comic book Hal.
