So.... does Bendis just have a board with characters and plots, and write his stories by throwing darts at them?

I was actually coming here to post this.

Personally, I find this awesome. Miles Morales is one of my favorite characters regardless of universe, publisher, etc. ANXM has been one of my favorite books for a while now as well.

Some things to take note of:

Sara Pichelli did the cover - hopefully we'll be getting more Immonen/Bichelli collabs b/c "The Trial of Jean Grey" stuff was just... WOOOOOO!

Jean looks like she's tangling with Doc Ock's tentacles.

Angel/X-23 looks like it's going to be a thing. No problem w/ it, just a bit disappointed the Tyke-23 coupling looks to be over - at least for now.


EDIT: Also, didn't Peter Parker have some interaction with the X-Men in his early days? I'm by no means a Spider-Man expert, but I do recall some type of storyline where he went to Xavier to find out if he were a mutant. Perhaps I'm confusing it with the 90s FOX cartoon?

The cover looks neat, although I'm a little surprised by the title. How exactly is Miles crossing over into the 616-verse? Is his Ultimate series ending soon?

It could just be a fun concept cover that Pichelli put together, too, and not anything that'll actually happen. Guess we'll see when it gets nearer to release.

On the plus side, I'd absolutely love for Pichelli and Immonen to team up for All-New again. They just kept outdoing themselves for the entire Trial arc, which was a real treat.

You know what, why not? Morales is generally cited as one of Bendis' better endeavors, and it could be fun to have a cross-over that isn't mired in new age angst. I doubt he's actually joining the team, but even if he is there's some interesting possibilities.

Meh, I don't care. Typical Bendis, his enormous ego is enough to anchor any character he chooses into any story he likes. He treats the Marvel Universe like his own personal fan fiction and has from the beginning. Still, people pay for this shit so I guess I'm outvoted.
