You should get books that interest you because of the story, art and concept, not because of their "importance". Few books are actually important and those that are not usually very good (i.e event comics).

^This. Moon Knight was my favourite All-New NOW! Book. Did it feature any tie-ins? No. Did it have any importance in the grand scheme of things? Nope. Was it, what you'd say, "significant"? No way in hell. And, in the end, that's why I liked it. It was self-contained and interesting without rellying on gimmicks. From my experience, the B/C-Lister books are often much better than the high-profile titles.

Excellent point. Since I grew up collecting in the 90s, I am all about Venom, Carnage, Deadpool, Wolverine, and X-Men. I will probably try to start with these.
There's another way to analyze these which I just thought of- based on the artist and writers. Who are considered the legendary / A-list artists or writers out of all the 70+ series here?
