This was jarring I wasn't expecting a comedy book. Very hard to take it seriously when the tone is just completely all over the place. Also hard to deal with W&TXM style art again.

The plan was hasty cause Cyclops shut it down. They had very little time to formulate the plan and Colossus doesnt think straight when it comes to his sister and the details were mixed up with Domino.

They didnt have a whole year to plan. They had less then a day. So it was a cobbled together plan.

It was also not well thought out and Colossus mesaed up on the details.

Kitty has been shown to be vulnerable to magic and magical beings while phased.

Nah. The hair colour is brown, not red like we see Jean's hair earlier. Considering it's an Illyana RescueFest and she came in with Kurt and she cops an attitude with the leader in a chair, I'm guessing Kitty.

They had their yearly appointement and it would have been impolite not to show on time... You wouldn't want to keep all those poor demons waiting or risk to catch them by suprise by not showing at the set time.

Or they could have phoned and let them know they would be a little late while they try to formulate a new plan. Hell, the demons could even have made some suggestion and helped them come with a plan.
