Probably since the background is supposed to.show.off the diversity of the MU. And Sooraya fits the bill as a Abaya-Niqab wearing, conservative Muslim. I just hope she actually shows up in the issue.

I think some of those people are just civilians who are presumably part of the Champions movement, so I doubt it's Dust herself as Zub has said how he has his plate full balancing the main cast of 8, let alone their supporting casts, and so guesting teen X-Men are almost certainly a step too far.

Hellion being next to Mercury and Dust, Anole & Pixie being close, and Surge/Prodigy makes me think some thought was placed into the positions of the characters in the teaser. I wonder what that'll mean.
