You are forgetting something Doom created this world... So, he must have created these gems, also... So, they work in this "universe"...

But Doom must also have created a backdoor for safety regarding the use of these Infinity Gems... Doom would not be stupid enough to create something powerful enough to destroy him

...Unless, these gems were created by the Beyonders...

Still doesn't answer some of the lingering questions from the first issue, but it at least hints at them. Even Doom seems to have a vague understanding of what happened during the creation of Battleworld. Maybe this issue will start to fill in the blanks. I think it needs to if it's going to continue the momentum. Marvel has a history of overlooking details and letting plot holes derail events. We saw it to some extent with AXIS. I don't think anyone wants to see it here.

I dunno about Thanos with the Infinity Gems vs omnipotent Doom, but seeing this world was created by Doom, I believe he will always win against everything he created.

So, this Doom must be more powerful then the Infinity Gems combined.

However, I believe that Doom and Strange would leave this power they have for a better solution for this world.

Or the Beyonders are still in some kind of control, or nothing can stop Doom right now...
Let's look back and remember how it ended for Doom during Secret Wars vol. #1 (1985) -- shall we?

Not one gathered from Infinity Gems 'native' to Battleworld, though.

The dialogue in the preview specifically says that working together, they saved what they could, created what they could not, and that there are still dangers facing this new world. That would seem to indicate either an ongoing external threat (such as the Beyonders), or internal threats from pieces of Battleworld that don't really 'fit'. Perhaps the process of pulling Battleworld together from all these pieces was rather rushed and not really able to be fine tuned, therefore the threats beyond the Shield (unless those are more deliberately there as a protection racket of sorts) and so on... which could mean whatever Gems exist on Battleworld, whether originally from one of the destroyed universes or created fresh for Battleworld, could well work.

The 'saved some, created some' line allows for some of the Warzones to be defined as the actual Incursion zones or other pieces of destroyed realities, with the inhabitants' memories altered to believe there's only ever been Battleworld, and others to be fresh creations (or recreations of realities they couldn't save even a piece of), therefore leaving the question of whether the inhabitants of merged Manhattan are actually the 'real' 616 and 1610 characters up in the air.

The bit about recreating what they could not save intrigues me...could be used as a "get out of jail" card for dodgy characterization in some tie-ins. "Oh, they weren't consistent with what you know you say? Doom and Strange messed up, there, now read on"

True These Infinity Stones must work, or else, why doing that story in the first place?

    Lol.

Come on, my friend... You know that just happened due to the Beyonder intervening in the process and Doom not knowing how to control his power... We can all see that he controls these powers more then well, now... THIS Doom is, by himself, superior to the Cabal, by themselves...

I for one can't wait for Thanos to meet Thanos. Because the guy on the raft and the guy skulking around in Secret Wars Infinity Gauntlet are not the same dude.

Hickman also established on his run on Fantastic Four that the Infinity Gauntlet only works in the universe it was forged in because an AU Reed richards had the infinity guantlet but it didn't work in the 616 and given that Battleworld is an all new universe the Guantlet would be useless.
Yet it worked just fine in the ultraverse!

I can't wait for Wednesday, is really good that we are getting some answers (hopefully not all and the rest are given in the following issues) as to how this all came to be.

I don't expect anybody introduced in another book to have any kind of significant role in the main series.

My main hope for this issue is that the 616 raft gets opened before the very end.

Not even Old Man Logan? I suspect you may be wrong on this point, at least in a few instances.

Interesting preview. Can't wait until Wednesday to get this. And that line about ''creating what we could not save'' was interesting as well.

OR because this is a planet made out of a patchwork of universes, EVERY infinite stone works and Thanos is going to gather all 240 and fashion them into a swag suit of amour.
