    Default No More Amazon Sex-Pirates?

Check out the preview to Justice League #41:

    http://comicbook.com/2015/05/29/excl...justic/#Image1

On the final page of the preview, it mentions how Diana was the only child born on Paradise Island:

Whether Geoff Johns is retconning the Amazons sex-pirates or just simply ignoring that portion of Diana's New 52 mythos, I couldn't be happier.
Currently(or soon to be) Reading: Absolute Power, Batman/Superman: World's Finest, Birds of Prey, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Justice Society of America, Shazam, Titans, & Wonder Woman.

God, I hope Johns is for real! All the more reason to hope he takes over Diana's book, or at least influences the other books to reflect his new stance on things.

Am I missing something? How is this any different than Diana not knowing about the male Amazons?

Diana would, at least, know that there were other children born on the island? She would've grown up alongside numerous other children?

She wouldn't have believed she was the ONLY child born if the Amazons were still doing sex raids and having more children.

She certainly knows about the raids now plus weren't there other Amazons around her age like Aleka back in the day?

She did not know the truth about her own birth. See where I'm going?

She thought, as a child, that she was the only Amazon who was a clay baby, given life by the gods. That doesn't mean she had any reason to believe that the other Amazon children weren't born through some other way. The bottom line is, if there were other children on the island, she wouldn't believe she was the only one born.

It sounds like Diana is referring to the past from the present. In the present she is quite aware of the raids(if they are still in continuity).

You don't agree that most of what's there doesn't jibe with what we've read?

Sure it doesn't jibe. Hence? The the theory that things are being retconned.

Maybe. It could also be "Back the, this was what I believed to be true." Am I the only one reading it that way?

It seems like "born" would still had to have happened even when she believed in the "Clay" story.

This. It's clear she's remembering the past. She'd remember Aleka and other children. Either retcon or oversight.

Here's the problem: She thought she was clay and didn't know about the raids. But Aleka clearly grew up with her. What explanation her mother and Amazons gave for Aleka and other children's origins?

She could be recalling what she was ignorant of at the time she was a child.
