Catwoman. T+. If Clark and Diana were allowed a scene like that I would accept the ruckus. But not with a simple cuddling scene:

Can anyone imagine a scene like this for Clark and Diana? Only then I would accept Brettc's arguments. The internet would melt.

Again, not to the degree where any sort of damage control would be even remotely necessary. You're always going to have one or two people who are offended at absolutely anything. But on the by and large? Even among comic fandom, where we are well known over-reactors, this wouldn't bother enough to be any issue whatsoever from a PR standpoint.

This image we're discussing would have come out long before the Batgirl cover. This would've been early on in SM/WW. Like issue 4 or 5.

    Now that is MUCH better!

Per the Dick and Kori pic, it is essentially the same image.
If ten years of recording The Young and the Restless for my mother have taught me anything, it's that characters in serial dramas are always happily in love...until they're not

either way just like that cover being pulled in light of all the controversy leveled at DC they were right to do this. There are ways to allude to sexual relations without making it so blatant

Except that this wouldn't have been at all controversial. There's nothing wrong with being blatant. Just as there's nothing wrong with being subtle. Either way what to avoid is being distasteful. And this was entirely tasteful.

But somehow Catwoman riding Batman right before our very eyes, and Grayson being ridden by some chick he'd just met and who is screaming his name, are perfectly fine.

    Got it.

    They're bad boys.

Too racy means too racy for Superman and Wonder Woman.

    Got it, again.

Only bad people have sex. It makes perfect sense now.

sadly thats why else world superman stories are better, because writers have to have limits with what they can do with superman.
