Came across this today from X-Factor #89. Gotta love the look on Crystal's face!



Can't help but laugh when I think of what's going through her head imagining Pietro in a polyamorous relationship with some man with green hair and Wolfsbane, lol.

In Namor the Sub-Mariner #58, she is described as being the most formidable power present among a number of heroes Namor, Vision, Hercules, and Thunderstrike. This also demonstrates her ability to "breathe underwater" by pulling oxygen from the water and containing it around herself. Seemingly by using this same method, she is able to shoot fire blasts underwater, as well! Also, a great demonstration of Crystal's prowess with hydrokinesis.

Namor sure didn't take kindly to Crystal showing just how skilled she is with Hydrokinesis... HAHAHA. I think this is the best showing of her Hydrokinesis as a whole!!

As a rule I'm not a huge fan of the Crys/Pietro pairing...I find they tend to bring out the worst in each other. But PAD did give them a few fun moments along the way.

This is definitely one of Crystal's most impressive feats. Lifting the entire city of Attilan using her geokinesis! It's from Inhumans v2 #12, btw. Any doubters take note: This girl is a powerhouse!!

Did you know..?

Most people familiar with Crystal know that her powers grant her control over air, earth, water, and fire. A lot of people don't realize how refined these abilities are, however. For starters, her control over air is so complete that she is able to bond hydrogen and oxygen atoms in the air to form water, even in an otherwise dry environment! Not only that, she can even slow or accelerate the individual atoms of the elements she controls to heat or cool them! That is how she is able to spontaneously generate a flame--by super-accelerating the movement of atoms in the air! On the other hand, it also allows her to slow down the particles of water, for example, to freeze it! This is not an exhaustive list of her abilities, her precision-control of the elements grants her the ability to fly, breathe underwater, create "force fields," and more! Issue #354 of Avengers displays an example of her using her powers to create an ice blast.

Also, back in the days when Kirby was doing the FF, she could generate lightning.

Great point! Yes, Crystal's refined control of her powers allows her to electrically charge the elements. In the air, this allows her to direct that flow and summon lightning bolts. Unfortunately, she's rarely seen using her powers these days! But she has demonstrated this ability a few times in more recent years.

Same here. I wish she would have received more relevant panel time with Jenkin's run but she had the most epic power moment in the series IMHO.

TRUE THAT!! She's like Marvel's very own version of Avatar: The Last Airbender, lol, with ALL those combined abilities at her disposal. IMO, Crystal EASILY joins the ranks of the MU's other über-powerful FEMALE energy blaster/manipulator/wielders, whether it be of the elemental, light, magical/mystical, psychic, sonic, or more vague/uneasily classified variety. Sister representatives who are comparable, I would say, include: Jean Grey/Phoenix, Scarlet Witch, Polaris, Invisible Woman, Storm, Captain Marvel, Spectrum, Dazzler, Magik, Songbird, Moondragon, Clea, Sersi, Darkstar, etc., etc. ... I'm sure there's many more, but you get the idea.
