#19 Bat-Falcon

Let me start by saying that Nighthawk is definitely what you'd get if you were to combine The Falcon and The Batman into one character. Roy Thomas and Sal Buscema nailed it.

However, for the purposes of this jam we'll say that Sam Wilson Wayne is what you'd get if you combined the two heroes, the son of a preacher man whose entire family was killed in a church explosion while worshipping at a historically Black church in the deep South. Sam, who was the lone survivor of the horrific act of domestic terrorism, snapped and committed his life from that day forward to fighting violent crime ... ironically, by being one of the most violent champions for retribution to ever walk the face of the Earth. He's the one man that not even the Super Punisher would dare cross.

Commissioner Wolfe: "Why the blood red cape? It contradicts the whole point of being stealthy and hidden in shadow, doesn't it?"

Bat-Falcon: "Commissioner, I deal with men who get their rocks off by seeing blood. Lots of it. My cape draws them to me."

Commissioner Wolfe: "Like the proverbial moths to the flame. I get it."

Bat-Falcon: "No. Like the abyss to their cold, dead souls. There are two at the door, four in the foyer, six more in the adjoining room, and another six in the basement. There are another dozen on the upper floors that will come running as soon your team gets to the front door. Do what you can to save their victim, but leave the rest to me."
