Sure, Action's been good since #25, but now Superman might finally be getting to that level. Justice League looks to be fantastic. Batman versus Superman got its script rewritten by a really good scriptwriter and it's leading in a whole slate of DC films with a focus on letting good filmakers make good films.

JL #41 and Action #41. Wow... just wow. This is it, man. This is the time to be a DC fan.
Pfft! At five bucks a pop for Justice League #41, it ought to shit rainbows and piss champagne, and it did neither.

I guess the extra pages weren't enough to justify the extra buck?

Read JL, Bat-Mite, and Bizarro. All 3 were great.

This reminds me, there's no more Book of the Week polls anymore(?)...
Comics were definitely happier, breezier and more confident in their own strengths before Hollywood and the Internet turned the business of writing superhero stories into the production of low budget storyboards or, worse, into conformist, fruitless attempts to impress or entertain a small group of people who appear to hate comics and their creators. -- Grant Morrison, 2008

backlog - Blade of the Immortal, Mignolaverse, Promethea, X-Cutioner's Song

I don't think there's much debate this week. Justice League 41 was one of the best DC issues in a long time.

I think the one title that did not do so well was Lobo.
Not only did I see virtually no buzz of it in online... but...

#7 currently ranks at #290 on Comixology.

The next lowest is Bat-Mite #1 at #152.

However, before panic ensues... a lot of the top 100 was filled up by the 99-cent DC sale, namely Batman and Justice League back-issues.
    But still... #290...
I think it's safe to say that Lobo came in last this week.

    Note:
For comparison- Convergence #8 is currently at #168, which means even it is outselling Lobo.

Meanwhile, Omega Men has all the makings of a sleeper hit: Good sales but not ground-breaking, great story and art and a lot of buzz. As long as the quality stays consistent, I see it having a long life.

I think a few of the usual complainers got banned in a Superman/WW vs Batman/WW ship war.

You know the books are pretty good when all the whiners can complain about is the "DC You" label rather than the books themselves.

The usual complainers will pop up though. They're just looking for the smalles spark of opportunity to whine then they'll jump at the chance.

Yes, yes they will. Moderation needs to be a little strict on forums but most of the times those complainers are looked over because it is seen as the person simply expressing their opinions. Too quickly forums become a very dark and gloomy place.

If you want to drink $5 champagne that's been pissed out by a comic book, you go right ahead, mate

So far, this is what the New 52 should have been from the start.
