Been all the way thru the thread, this still wins. What a horrible redesign, that completely missed the point of the character.

It's funny, when the Raven 'facepalm' costume first came out, I posted about it, and a lot of people actually defended it.

I like her original costume. Was it corny? Yes. Did she look like a Rainbow Brite character? Sure. But it did suit her. She's an upbeat character with color/light power, what else would her costume be?

Anyone bring up Mal Duncan's original Hornblower outfit? OY!

You can see right there in that pic of Hornblower that the design was sent in from a fan. Given we're all fans, I think there's an unwritten code that you don't dump on a fan. It's not cool. It was good that the TEEN TITANS crew gave this fan a chance to see his design in a comic book. I can just imagine how good it made him feel. You know that it's a fool who plays it cool by making his world a little colder.

The Raven costume fits the story because she's Trigon's agent for most of her New 52 appearance. It's when she started going good it doesn't fit and she's only gone completely good at the end of the first New 52 run.
