The problem with the AzBats is no one could draw it right. I thought Quesada's orginal concept was great, but one could draw the damn thing.

As bad as the Warrior as, the character development of Guy in the series as great. I wish his bar was still around in the DCU.

I also think people need to remember that AzBat's costume was supposed to be a parody of sorts, hence why he's defeated because Bruce makes him crawl through a small cavern and he has to take all his equipment off.

The Azbats suit was a monstrous version of Batman that was the complete antithesis of Bruce as Batman. It really works for me because of that.

This is a good demonstration of how lots of fancy colouring attempts to obscure some really bad pencil art. What's actually bad is not the costume--it's the weird contortions of the figure to create the impossible pose. The anatomy is totally out of whack.

Also not a big fan of the red trunks returning to Superman's costume. I always thought he looked better without them.

This is and always will be the worst costume design to me. New 52 Supes is close in my eyes but what they did to the classic Robin suit is horrible.

Literally all they needed to do to stop making people complain about the original is just add pants. That's it and it worked great in the Batman animated show. I really like that design minus the inverted colors in the R symbol.

I really feel like color balance is always an after thought since the New 52 onward. There has been some good stuff but a majority either adds unnecessary armor pieces, v-necks, or throws out vital portions of costumes that made them appealing in the first place.

Were you even born when that suit was introduced? It's like kids saying the '70s were "so cool". The costume was dumb and met with widespread ridicule.
