Infinite Crisis Omnibus collection in TPBs

Hello,

I would love to own the Infinite Crisis Omnibus but with it being out of print and so expensive I'm not sure I ever will. Therefore I'm wondering, is it possible to collect all of the content found in the Omnibus by collecting TPBs? If so, which TPBs would they be? And if not, which TPBs get you the closest and what would you be missing?

To start with I'd expect the TPBs you'd want are:
OMAC Project
Villains United
Day of Vengeance
Rann-Thanagar War
Infinite Crisis Companion
Infinite Crisis

Does that cover the content of the Omnibus or are there things left out (like Countdown to Infinite Crisis, Superman Sacrifice, Superman Lightning Strikes Twice)?

What do you mean by Countdown to Infinite Crisis #1-5? There was only 1 Countdown to Infinite Crisis special, which I'm pretty sure was reprinted in the OMAC trade because OMAC Project #1 picks up directly from the ending.

And Lightning Strikes Twice is in the Day of Vengeance trade. Superman: IC is the "This is Your Life" arc plus the Secret Files issue.

I don't know if it's in the Omnibus, but I would get the Power Girl trade for the JSA Classified arc, and the Adam Strange mini to go before R-T War.

I really hope they re-release the omnibus as a series of deluxe editions or absolutes (an Infinite Crisis Absolute deserves to sit next to the COIE Absolute). I'd passed on the omnibus originally because the contents were not quite as complete as I'd liked.

They do have an Absolute Infinite Crisis coming, I would be shocked if we ever got additional ones to cover the other stories around it, but at least one is coming out.

Yes, that post was written almost a year ago, long before the absolute was announced. I am very happy that the absolute is coming, as the IC period is probably my favorite DC-wise since the early 90s cosmic stuff.
