POLL: What Do You Think of Jon Bernthal as Marvel's New Punisher?

Pretty good casting. I wonder if they are going to focus much on his back story or if he's just going to be presented as already active.

First things first, I'm thrilled Frank's going to be in DD and I hope we'll see a Punisher series before long. I don't think the character is well-served in movies anyway.

As for Bernthal, I have mixed feelings. I think he's a little too short for the role, which is why he was my first (and only, really) pick to pick up the Wolverine mantle from Hugh Jackman.

My hope was that Ray Stevenson would get another shot (pun intended) at the role. He's the best thing about War Zone. He had the look and the intensity, and he's got the chops to play the MAX version of the character.

All that said, I know Bernthal's going to do a great job.
