Default Poll: What is the Best Batman Movie of All-Time?

What is the Best Batman Movie of All-Time?

With eight live-action Batman currently in the world, and the latest VS! praising their highs and condemning their lows, which one stands as the best example of the Dark Knight on film?

    Vote on the poll here.

Probably would have to be The Dark Knight for me.

1989 and Returns were good for their time certainly. And while I still think they hold up pretty well still today, I think TDK edges them out for several reasons.

That honor goes to the Dark Knight, hands down. I mean honestly, a more fair poll would be what's the second best Batman movie because #1 is a no brainer. It's funny because I've been watching all of the live action Batman movies to get pumped for Batman: Akrham Knight video game.

I voted Batman (1966). Probably as an adult, I would really say "The Dark Knight" but when I think about how I reacted to Batman (1966) as a child when I was the intended audience, no Batman movie for adults beats my reaction to and feelings about that movie at the time and to it's intended audience.

Happily, Batman (1966) is beating "Batman and Robin" and currently tied with "Batman Forever", both of which it deserves to beat because it was intentionally and beautifully what they were either accidentally or clumsily- camp.

I'm sure nobody is surprised that "The Dark Knight" is winning.

I enjoy watching Batman and Robin only to relentlessly tear it down the entire time it's on.

my personal favourite is Begins but if you ask me what's the best, Dark Knight hands down
the only film based on a comic book that goes way beyond the 'comic movie' bubble and is up there with the greatest movies of all time
What we used to call life has very little worth these days. Welcome to the very edge.

I enjoy them all, even the lousy ones. My favorite would probably have to be The Dark Knight though. It's still a brilliant film.

If we're not counting the animated films or the 1940s serials, here's my ranking:

    1. The Dark Knight
    2. Batman Begins
    3. The Dark Knight Rises(Obviously I'm a Nolanite)
    4. Batman 1989
    5. Batman: The Movie
    6. Batman Forever
    7. Batman Returns
    8. Batman & Robin

The last two I have major problems with, but none of them are egregiously bad(Except for the fight scenes, which none of the movies do well).

Definitely Batman & Robin. One of the greatest films of all time!...........JK! The Dark Knight and original Batman 1989 film take the cake.

The best Batman was/is Michael Keaton. The best Batman movie is TDK

Between Batman and Batman Begins. Dark Knight and DKR were probably better pieces of filmmaking than Begins, but Begins was a more enjoyable movie to watch.

Any of the Nolan films are better than the Burton ones, IMO. But for pure enjoyment, I chose Begins...I loved TDK but it's almost a Joker movie more than a Batman movie.

The Dark Knight for me, though I really enjoy the first one by Tim Burton. I love to contrast the two completely different takes on both Batman and (especially) the Joker.
