Harley Quinn on going solo book (issue #17 out this week) has been fun.
Conner and Palmiotti are the kind of writing team that if you love there first book,
    you will love the rest.

Harleys appearances in other new 52 books have been meh (in the sense that Harley was adjusted to fit the script,
when it was the script and all the other characters that should have been adjusted to fit Harleys appeal) .... in my opinion.
hmm... I see. Well I'll give the series a try and see if I enjoy it.

    Thanks for your reply.

Just because you haven't heard much from it doesn't mean it sucked. It was a book that flew under the radar at a time when there's was like a dozen of Bat-related books. The early run was written by Paul Dini and you can never go wrong with him.

and thank you so much, it's cool that Superman is involved in the old Harley run.

    Your help is much appreciated!
No problem at all! Glad I could help you out

And I can't believe I forgot to mention Gotham City Sirens! I have the first paperback but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. But I've only heard fantastic things about it and the art is fantastic. Plus it involves Catwoman, Harley and Poison Ivy, and those three are always a blast together! And like Immortal Weapon said, at least the first part is by Paul Dini, one of the co-creators of Harley Quinn, so you really can't beat that!

As I understand, it was mostly Harleys appearances in Suicide Squad that were criticized. Her solo book is completely different and doing rather well.

I'm partial to the original DCAU version, so after you read Mad Love I'd suggest reading Batman: Harley and Ivy. It's set in the Batman/DC animated universe. Not sure if it has ever been traded, but you can get it on Comixology.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DtP8E396FA She made it seem like New 52 Harley is crap compared to the other Harley comics out there. So I don't know what to expect.

Have you read the New 52 Harley then haha? And if you did, do you think it's better than Batgirl and Batman and Robin?

A lot of people seem to think that, as you can see by the sales figures: http://www.comichron.com/monthlycomi...5/2015-03.html

It's the most successful book with a female lead from DC.

I wouldn't say HQ is better than either Batgirl or Batman and Robin since they're pretty different in terms of tone (Although I would say that I definitely enjoy it more than B&R). HQ is a comedy book with cartoony violence, BG might seem like a lighthearted title at first but then you realizes that it has a pretty good overaching plot with good character development and a really unique tone, B&R is a simple superhero book that can be fun at times.

Overall, I would say that I like Batgirl the most then comes Harley Quinn in second place but it's a pretty good second place.

A few solo issues that I would personally recommend are:

Batman Black & White, Vol. 2 – Case Study
Detective Comics #831 – Kind of Like Family
Suicide Squad #20 – Discipline and Punish pt.1
Suicide Squad #21 – Discipline and Punish pt.2
