    Default Dc presents

So random post but I am wondering if anyone read dc universe presents when the new 52 first began. I was going through old comics and reread the first arc which was about Deadman. I thought it was very good. I wonder if dc will ever do a series like that again. Did anybody else read/enjoy dc universe presents?

I did. I thought Deadman was pretty good, not so much the Challengers of the Unknown, and then the rest was all pretty good. It was nice to get the issues of like Starfire and Kid Flash that focused on them.

I wish DC had released more "National Comics" one-shots. It was a great idea. Rotating creative teams introducing the New 52 versions of diverse characters in a single issue.

I did and was very disappointed when it was cancelled. I'm always pushing for a title like this--a modern Showcase.

I agree. It gives characters who can't carry an ongoing title a chance to still have stories told about them. Also I think it's a good way to let creators try something new.

Agreed. I read and enjoyed all of the National Comics one-shots; especially Looker and Kid Eternity. To my knowledge, neither character has been seen since, unfortunately...

And I'd be happy to pay a little more in order to get more than one story. You could headline with 3-parters and do 1-shot backups.

It varied I thought from story to story but I liked how it focused on characters who couldn't carry a full series and wished DC kept it or bring it back. I'm sure they could find writers/artists who would love to do their favorite characters.
