Default What was the last GREAT Spider-Man comic?

What was the last Spider-Man comic that you would consider to be great or amazing in your opinion? One that you think will be considered a classic and in the top 10 or 20 lists of the best Spider-Man's stories.

For me it'll probably have to be Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man #310

Spectacular Spider-Man #310 is the first one that comes to mind for sure. Maybe the FNSM Spider-Bite issue.

I think Life Story has gotten a lot of recognition and discussion too, but I think the trickier thing is finding legit great Spidey stories in the main continuity these days.

Life Story is a mess after the first issue, but I do think the first issue itself is a really good story, it legit made me think "There's no way the rest can live up to this", and unfortunately I was right.

Spectacular#310 is really good too yeah, actually funny it came out around the same time as Slott's ASM#801, and Zdarsky's felt like it understood Spidey's character better.

But yeah, aside from those it's complicated to find something really good, we can have fun ideas like multiple Chameleons assuming someone's identity very dramatically or Foreigner's casino, but aside from those, eh, can't say there's anything that recent that was really that good, though some could be alright.

Sensational Spider-Man Annual#1: "To Have and To Hold"

Spencer's run is pretty good, but often left far too much open-ended. The stories never felt complete.

Amazing Spider-Man #60 has become a classic for me. A very underrated issue.

The Superior Spider-Man as a whole was pure genius to me, I remember waiting for the next issue to come out almost like never before. I also really liked Spencer's run, but the final stories were so confused and rushed I can say it's far from perfect.
A single story? I think I have to go back to 2000 with "Darkness Calling" and the return of Norman Osborn.

I guess for me it was that tie in with absolute carnage where he fought carnage Norman

    Spiderman: Blue

Or that Annual of I forgot what title before One More Day where he is at the top of the empire state building in the black suit with mary jane and you see flashbacks of their entire romance. That was an all time classic issue. Beautiful art.

Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man #310 was the first one that came to my mind when I read the topic title. It's in my top ten Greatest Spider-Man Stories Ever.

I'll nominate A Night Off, Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man (2019) #14 by Tom Taylor.

    This is a good question.

The first ten issues of Superior Spider-Man are the most recent to be in my top ten.

There are some other really good comics outside of that...
Nick Spencer/ Ryan Ottley/ Humberto Ramos' first issue of Amazing Spider-Man
The last issue of Zdarsky's Spectacular Spider-Man (though his Sandman two-parter with Bachalo and Life Story with Bagley were quite good as well)
The MJ/ Black Cat one-shot was the highlight of Beyond
    Sincerely,
    Thomas Mets

Definitely that Black Cat/MJ one-shot. I wished they put Jed McKay on Amazing

Superior Foes is great. Not sure it counts as Spider-Man, though.

Hopefully, this one counts. But for what it's worth, Straczynski's New Avengers arc from ASM #519-524 will always be a personal favorite.
