"Visions" of Barry Allen

As most of you know, in COIE #8, Barry Allen travels through time right before he dies. "Visions" of him are seen in issues two and twelve. (yes, I know they're not really visions, but I couldn't think of a better word). Wikipedia, the source of all truth, said that "visions" of him were seen in other stories throughout the next 22 years before his resurrection.

My questions are: #1 is this true and #2 if so, in what issues did this happen?

I think I remember there being one in Meltzer's run on JLA - "Lightning Saga" where they're rescuing Wally from the Speed Force, and it's implied that Batman thought it was Barry who'd come through.
