There's a thread all about the worst costumes DC has but I haven't seen one for the best. So here's a thread for talking about the best designs DC has to offer.

Hal Jordan basically wears a leotard, but the white gloves really make this look pop:

Honestly, I'm not sure I was ever really into DC costumes. I mean I really like classic Superman and Chiang Wonder Woman, but after that it's basically just:
One of the few costumes that doesn't really need a redesign...
Batwoman and her Hebrew color of war. Gah she's so fantastic looking.

Kara Zor-El is not only one of my favorite characters but she always manages to look good. I especially liked her outfit just prior to the NEW 52, under Jamal Igle.

Batman
Nightwing
Batwoman
I think for DC it's Superman (classic drawn by Byrne), Flash (Barry by Carmine Infantino), Batman (blue grey and yellow by Dick Giordano), Green Lantern (Hal by Gil Kane), Wonder Woman (as worn by Lynda Carter
Great visual costume is probably a good part of why they are so enduring.
Ted Kord's Blue Beetle costume!
Steve Ditko's BEST superhero design (including Spider-Man!). Totally unlike most superhero costumes of the time. Instead of contrasting primary colors, he used complimentary shades of blue broken up by thick black lines with the minimum of contrasting yellow for the goggles and belt buckle. Brilliant! While most heroes had an emblem on their chest, Blue Beetle's entire upper torso was the emblem. NO CAPE! Instead of trunks, Ditko used boxer briefs. I could go on and on.
Batman's. The cape and cowl give it that great outline that's immediately recognizable.
Raven
Cyborg
Tempest (Garth)
