Today is Thursday July 2, 2015!
Since the days and dates of 2015 are exactly the same as 1981, here's to celebrating 616 Steve Rogers and 616 Namor McKenzie's first battle after 616 Sub-Mariner was the one responsible for inadvertently freeing 616 Steve Rogers from his icy imprisonment during the Marvel Age of Comics in 1964 in Avengers # 4.

    Imperius Rex!

Today is Wednsday July 8, which was 616 Cosmic Cube Day, back in 1981 during the 20th anniversary of the Marvel Age of Comics, started in 1961.
Since the days and dates of 2015 are exactly the same as 1981, here's to celebrating 616 Cosmic Cube Day!

I have enjoyed the appearance of this fictional object, established as a device created by 616 A.I.M and first appeared in Tales of Suspense # 79 in 1966, for 49 years in all the marvel comics starring the 616 marvel characters.
I am sure there will eventually be a Cosmic Cube again in the new mainstream marvel universe post Secret Wars but when and in which marvel comic post Secret Wars.

During the 20th anniversary of the Marvel Age of comics back in 1981, Sunday July 12 and Monday July 13, were the 616 Exiles Days.

The 616 Exiles were a band of war criminals, mostly German, from World War II, who were formerly allied with 616 Red Skull.
    They included:
Baldini - An Italian who uses a scarf as a whip-like weapon.
Cadavus - A war criminal whose wheelchair can fire blasts.
General Ching - A Chinese master of the pistol.
Gruning - A war criminal who wields a whip.
Jurge "Iron-Hand" Hauptmann - A war criminal who has an iron gauntlet.
Krushki - An extremely strong Russian.

I remember back when i was just getting into collecting comics, the LCS I went to, Altered States Comics in Mississauga, ON had that poster hanging on one wall. Everytime you made a purchase you got to reach into a box and pull out a slip of paper with a letter on it. Then you had to throw a dart at the poster and hit a character whose name started with that letter. If you did, you got a coupon for a percentage off your next purchase. Good times.
