Secret Wars and its impact going foward

I'm loving Secret Wars and its Tie-ins but I'm afraid when its over and the new different Marvel starts that Event will be Forgotten
I Know a few Characters will stay after .But what long-lasting impact will it leave. Also if they want to they can leave Battlworld intact somehow for future storys

About the same as all "HUGE, WORLD-ALTERING" events - nothing. Like Infinity, Age of Ultron, Fear Itself. Everything will be brushed under the rug and things will continue as they were.

I get from the synopsis of Contest of Champions and from suggestion of the Future Imperfect series that Maestro is going to take over the remains of Battleworld and use them for his own ends. Some of the other dimensions might well remain there or else become parts of the new multiverse. And Secret Wars is clearly having a big impact on shaping the new Marvel Universe without rebooting so it's evidently more significant than any of the events mentioned above.
