Obviously I'm a few months late to the party, but holy crap how gorgeous is that Green Lantern variant cover to 'Tec 44?

That is BOSS. I usually resist changing Golden Age costumes, but that is a fantastic update of Alan's costume by Cliff Chiang. Largely because it looks almost identical, yet way more practical with the combat boots, camo pants, and military jacket. I swear I'll give Earth 2 another try when they put Alan in this costume.

Hell, I don't even read 'Tec these days and I'm tempted to pick it up just for this cover. What a missed opportunity not to have put Jay on a couple of the Flash variant covers.

    I'm planning to go with
    BATGIRL #44
    BATMAN #44
    CATWOMAN #44
    DETECTIVE COMICS #44
    GOTHAM ACADEMY #10
    GOTHAM BY MIDNIGHT #9
    WE ARE...ROBIN #4

This may be my last issue for Detective . . . the idea of Peter Tomasi taking over the writing (and involving the JL in this title when they were just in Batman a few months back) does not inspire confidence in me.

Expect to pick up Scooby-Doo! Team-Up with Harley & Ivy, and will probably get B/S just to finish out the horrible arc before I drop the title again. I would consider BATMAN ANNUAL #4, but don't want to pay $4.99 for a book written by Tynion.

I don't think they're "camo pants" if they're all one color of drab army green . . . isn't "camouflage" a pattern of mixed colors / shades designed to conceal something?

In the strictest definition, yes. My understanding (as a non-military person) is that the name has been co-opted for pants made in that certain style, even if they aren't actually in camouflage colors/shades -- you can buy them from regular clothing outfitters, for instance. But "cargo pants" probably would've been a more accurate descriptor.

    Still an awesome cover, regardless.

Cross out the 2 Gothams and that's my list too if you add Batman+Superman, and the 3 other nonBat Truth titles.
