It can be seen here in this contradictory statement from WB Entertainment boss, Diane Nelson, how the WB/DC approach actually hinders a stand-alone Superman movie from being produced anytime soon. The justification from Snyder & Co. for the BvS movie is that it is necessary to “establish” a world that interacts with the Superman character before a solo movie can be considered and all that can be said now is vague hints at “something” in an undefined future date whereas Ms Nelson denies this and maintains that “interconnected” movies “handcuffs creators”.

This shows the confusion and ignorance at the heart of corporate WB/DC. They seem to have forgotten or, want to deliberately ignore the fact that Superman began and had its greatest success
In comics as a stand-alone character and that the most successful series of Superman movies to date didn’t need any batmen or justice leagues to prop them up.

Ms Nelson’s contention that DC is “talent-driven” has to be open to question considering the shambles they have made of the character in the last few years.

Listen man, as much as fans would want to see MOS sequel, bigger demographic wants shared universe. After the success of MCU it's very reasonable for DC to create their shared universe too. That's where the bigger audience is at and that's where the bigger pile of money's at. Honestly i would wait for 3 or 4 more years for a Superman movie if it means i could get a Justice League movie or solo Flash or WW movie. You really should be happy to see all of DC character on big screen instead of Superman.
