Bendis claims that the Hobgoblin here is supposed to be Roderick Kingsley...but so far he has sounded nothing like Kingsley, so I'm just assuming it's another pretender.

Thought I'd throw this out there but with Gwenpool ending, Christopher Hastings is another guy I'd like to take over this book from Bendis.

I wouldn't object to that, I think he had a pretty good handle on Miles when he wrote him.

Well, Bendis himself had been pretty vague or non-commital on that front in the actual comics, up until Spider-Men II, so I'm not surprised that other writers haven't really addressed it.
