Awesome variant. Coach Boss may be a mean, miserable old murdering bastard, but he ain't no racist.
Why are people hating on this flag?
Patsy Walker on TV! Patsy Walker in new comics! Patsy Walker in your brain! And Jessica Jones is the new Nancy! (Oh, and read the Comics Cube.)
Hey, gotta cash in while you still can.

As a resident of South Carolina, I have to admit that 15 years ago I had no idea the flag was flying above the capital until someone made an issue of it. I doubt most people knew it was on a Confederate monument until someone made an issue out of it. I still can't quite figure why we couldn't have showed some decorum and waited until the 9 murdered church members were buried before launching a full scale war on it. It's all politics all the time.
I don't fly a Confederate flag despite a good deal of pride about the south because I don't want to be "in your face" to my many black neighbors. It's probably fair to pull it down off the monument for the same reason. But beyond that, the way that all these companies and politicians are piling on and pulling merchandise and talking about taking down statues and renaming streets and military bases... it's a purge, pure and simple. It's mass hysteria. I think everyone needs to calm down, take a deep breath, and not try to obliterate a big chunk of history.
And it's fair to say that whatever you can say about the Confederacy is true ten times over about the United States. Are we going to ban that flag too? Are we going to find the graves of Confederate soldiers and sandblast the Confederate flag off of them? How far does it go?
Oh yeah, the cover. Bandwagon. Shameless cashing in, exactly right.
Considering the whole point of Southern Bastards is a celebration of and reaction against the South, simultaneously, we were going to get to this eventually. And it's quite a well done image.
Epic things: "TOPANGA" (GHA), Jaxson & Zefferson (PRO), Lucas (SHEL)
Haha, uh, guys...did you miss the part about proceeds going to charity?
Pretty sure every post against this cover is from a genuine southern bastard.
That's such a weak argument. You don't see Germans parading around with the Nazi swastika and telling people it's part of their heritage and it's not about racism but German pride. Considering the swastika itself used to be a benign symbol until it was appropriated by the National Socialist Party. Now it's synonymous with racism and antisemitism specifically.

Well, in Europe and NA.
In Asia, it's used the same way it was before the Nazis showed up.
Hindu wastika and NS swastika is two different things with numbers of distinctive elements. Germans rarely used a swastika that isn't by 45° (Norldland division used one but still that swastika was totally different thing that hindu one). I think the swastika problem and WP Miles Flag problem it's two very different things, but maybe it's 'cuz of my europen perspective.
It's certainly not going to bring anyone back to life, not going to change racists' minds about anything and it's not creating jobs or stimulating the economy (so people are either busy working or spending their money instead of fighting each other). I think it's an empty gesture to get some free publicity too though I am certain most and both creators here in this case do mean to do good.
