Anybody else miss Petes personal life? Reason I read spiderman and it's nonexistent anymore
I've been reading Spidey up from 98 to today on MU trying to catch up. If this is what I have to look forward to, im just going to skip the Slott stuff. Because this is everything I didn't want in Spiderman.
Cyclops was right
So...Peter Parker, in a tuxedo, surrounded by hot asian-women on both arms, potentially working in Japan, with a huge corporation building, potentially a car, and potentially multiple Spider-Man's operating...does any of this sound like Spider-Man?
I'm a huge fan of Japan and its culture and even I'm not really for this direction. Maybe Slott wants to make up for jobbing Supaidaman in Spider-Verse by doing a Japanese Spider-Man story .

Don't patronise me.
Is deliberately throwing out or sabotaging stuff that other writers put a lot of work into solely to make his own pet projects look better fine in your book?
Also, I guess Slott's not even trying to hide that he's turning Spidey into a Batman/Iron Man hybrid. Because that's what Spidey's all about, right? What was that Brevoort said about Batman fighting space aliens again?
Because Spidey owning his own company (that someone else set up and he ditches to go be Spider-Man half the time) and going on globetrotting adventures is somehow closer to that 'core premise' (which, sorry Mr. Brevoort, is about responsibility) than being married and having a child. Hell, even if you assume it IS youth or being a teenager or whatever, that still doesn't square up with Slott's writing of the character (except maybe him ditching responsibility whenever he can get away with it).
The hair doesn't look like MJ's though, at least with her normal hairstyle, though it could just be an Alex Ross liberty with the cover. She does look like a redhead though, so who knows...
But seriously, if not for the costume, I probably would've thought this was a Batman cover .
Crack fiction becoming reality in the All New All Different Marvel strikes again.
"So you've come to the end now alive but dead inside."
That image gives me a 007 feel. And the car… I hope it's an updated Spider-Mobile and Torch will be referenced somehow.

I NEVER judge before the comic comes out. I will say thats NOT a good drawing/poster, it's 80's Bond-ish (i am half expecting A View to Kill by Duran Duran to come on)
My little observation?
Miles will be the street level hero, and Parker will be off to bigger (better?) things with Parker Industries.
but i cannot believe Alex Ross drew that, i am sure he was commissioned to make it look 80s!! HECK maybe it takes place in the 80s!? LOL
