Still don't know what to make of this. I don't hate it, and the art is really nice, but I think it would be better off it just weren't tied so closely to Futures End.

If there`s one thing I dislike about the current Great Disaster approach of DC is making Brother Eye and the organization that wielded it (the faceless people) into antagonists. That being said, waiting to see Hercules and the rest of the pack.
Totally picking this book up! The best version of Tim since Flashpoint hit. Besides Futures End was great and it gives this title a lot of room to work with.
This was kind of mediocre. The artwork is really good, but the writing is still getting bogged down by too much exposition. At this point, it's grasping at straws to justify itself as a Futures End spinoff, rather than just being a Batman Beyond book.
I thought quite the contrary, I really believed that the artwork, although mostly good, was off sometimes but the writing was really good. The way I see it, there isn't enough exposition, everything is very vague to keep the future fresh and all. Personally, it seems like their distancing it from Futures End. We know that at some point Tim Drake will go into the future, but what we don't know is, is this a Days of Future Past (movie) scenario where when Wolverine wakes up in the new future his memories are of the old one with Tim retaining memories of the E2 War or is he remembering the altered future he actually lived through. The writing seems to be the best Jurgens has done in years.
Yeaaah, this felt pretty much like the previous issue, it was just okay.
The art was stunning though.
I love this book. Never was a fan of Batman Beyond before. TMcG never was a Batman family member to deserve the title. But started to like him in futures end and then the Tim Drake twist was brilliant because he deserves the mantle. First time really enjoying anything Batman Beyond
I think I'm gonna get really tired of the post apocalyptic setting really. I'd rather have Terry but I can deal with Tim(and hey at least it's something somewhat interesting for that character) but....I just dunno how much longer I can care about brother eye and the absence of all the rest of the normal beyond setting.
