Put this one to rest a long time ago. This issue is a huge part of the reason why we couldn't have an openly gay Northstar for a decade. Jim Shooter's Hulk tale in this issue has Bruce Banner attacked by gay guys in a YMCA locker room, and he's so afraid of (something bad happening to him) that he can't change into the Hulk. Society & Perception have come a long way since this issue, and I'm glad so many creators like Chris Claremont & John Byrne were still able to undermine the Comic Code Authority and higher Editorial to still sneak in some clues to pick up on that many characters were secretly LGBT. But it would have changed my world had they actually been allowed to tell stories with my role models open & free to be themselves!
