Bendis just has not read much DnA stuff..
..and not that him losing a limb is impossible, but not that way. *But cube plus magic makes this at least questionable, its not the worst affront Ive ever seen in comics.
BTW nice to see its not even the same shield he had in TI

No, not the same shield evil Cap had for the rest of the comic. That's a mistake by the artist.
Well seen the scan of the scene is question - looks like Rich finally became the space hero Ginger always thought he resembled - took an arm off to do it though. Then again he did lose his right leg in Annihilation too - but Kree science grew one back which was pretty handy (pun not intended). if Bendis kills Rich off due to loss of blood and an arm then i will be miffed! Hope to read the issue proper this coming week but yeah noted the discrepancy with the shield - shame on BMB - doesn't he also know what references are?
By the way - for those that frequent this thread and follow NOVA 619; sad news that Cosmic Book News dropped the comic's hosting this week due to a disagreement that could not be resolved. Undermines their commitment to Rich I think. But fear not its still online at Nova Prime Page - look out for the Halloween Special soon!
Not following this, but I thought people would like to read these thoughts:

Oddly enough regarding the whole arm slice thingy - guess what's happening to DC's "Nova" ---

It's weird that SNL can make slightly better Nova Corps uniforms then a hundred million dollar movie can.
