Like action, adventure, rogues, and outlaws? Like anti-heroes, femme fatales, mysteries and thrillers?
I wrote a book with them. Outlaw’s Shadow: A Sherwood Noir. Robin Hood’s evil counterpart, Guy of Gisbourne, is the main character. Feel free to give it a look: https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asi...E2PKBNJFH76GQP
That's a very sensible approach.
Again, surprising exactly no one, I voted for Steph. I believe I've read all post-Crisis Batgirl books at this point (or at least 99% of them), and I've just had the most fun reading and rereading Steph's 24+Road Home run. Closest second would be Batgirl Year One.

I'm seriously thinking of asking my friend, who's daughter is current writer of Batgirl, Mairghread Scott, if I can dialog with her about getting Bette back to WHERE SHE BELONGS! You never know what a friend in certain places can do!

I've been shy about asking her; we only have had a couple of emails. To me, she's still a kid, since I've known her since she was early teens, 12. Very proud of her, but have not seen recent Batgirl books. But my strategy is just to go blunt and ask if she knows if Bette will ever show up anywhere and follow up with an idea or three for putting her in Batgirl perhaps.
Whatever happens with Bette, I'm hopeful that we'll get away from the dreadful Robin-crush stories. So Bette appearing in the CW Batwoman (if) is a step in the right direction perhaps.
Figured it might be fun to see where people who hadn't previously voted stand.
At the moment, with 232 people having voted (starting way back in 2015):* Barbara Gordon = 88 votes

Gotta be honest, to me Batgirl was never one of my favorite members of the bat-fam, far behind Robin and Nightwing, and even someone like Kate Kane as Batwoman.
Even thinking about my favorite though, I had a tough time trying to pick. I like Barbara a lot, but I prefer her as Oracle. I like Steph a lot, but I prefer her as Spoiler. I like Cass a lot, but I like the concept of Black Bat more.
I don't really care much about Bette, and I've never even known that Helena was ever a Batgirl, even though, as seems to be tradition at this point, I like Huntress a helluva lot and don't really care a ton for the idea of her as Batgirl.
So... I voted for Babs mostly by process of elimination, because I've read most Batgirl comics starring her, and taking the Batgirl question out of the equation, I think Babs is the character I like most in a vacuum. But that's not ultimately that satisfying of an answer to me.
