Default Kelly Sue DeConnick For Wonder Woman: Yay or Nay?

Title says it all. How do you think Kelly Sue DeConnick would fair as a writer on Wonder Woman?

Nope not at all. I can't really stand her Captain Marvel book and if she Writes Diana anything close to carol I will rage. Her Captain marvel is slow and Meandering and barely anything of consequence happens. Also she hasn't Managed to do anything other than give carol a cool new costume, other than that she is still most bland female hero in Marvels Roster. I really wish they Would put her back in her Coma and give powers to Rogue like they used to be so an Actually interesting character could have those powers.

Nay, I would drop the book full time for sure.

Her CM run was too full of gimmicks masquerading as witty writing for me to bother. I'd be in fear of getting a sloppily done time traveling arc to boot.
Kurt Angle:"Canada is lacking two things. The first is Olympic heroes, and no Ben Johnson does not count. The second is Memorial Day.We in the States celebrate our heroes by having barbecues.I realise here in Canada you can't have barbecues because you'd be attacked by a moose,a caribou or even a grizzly,it's true! Hold on a second - you'd probably be attacked by a grizzly as well.On second thought..the Grizzlies don't beat ANYBODY here in Vancouver, let alone anywhere else,it's true,it's true!"

If she has a stron pitch, why not? she is more than capable of good writing and it would be an upgrade from now.

Like any other writer, I guess it would depend. Less likely writers have worked on more odd creator/title pairings.

I am in different, the only thing I've read of hers (I think), was the first issue of Bitch Planet and found it to be worth none of the hype it had gotten.

I'd give it a chance. I really didn't like Captain Marvel under DeConnick, it was incredibly boring and she managed to ignore everything interesting about Carol and make her bland. The only good thing to happen to Carol under her run was the name and costume change. On the other hand I did enjoy Pretty Deadly very much.

Nay. Captain Marvel under Kelly was a boring read. It made me miss Brian Reed even more.

Weak written villains and lack of any real big ones, too much focus ion Carols feel good moments instead of Super hero conflict.

Exactly...she's one of the most overrated writers out there.

Storylines are silly, stupid one-liners everywhere, trying to be "hip"....one of those writers.

Her books seemed geared towards the "movie" crowd.

That's a big "nay" from me. Her CM was a snoozefest and pretty bland.
Supporting LION FORGE COMICS and other independent publishers.

Check out Lion Forge's Catalyst Prime Universe. Its the best damned superhero verse in comics. Diverse characters and interesting stories set in a universe where anyone can be a hero. And company that prides itself on representation both in the comics themselves and in the people behind them.

Oh my goodness gracious! I've been bamboozled!
