Anyone have pics of the new Bouncer "Omnibus"?
just ordered Aama volume 4 by Frederik Peeters.
I've been so broke I can only choose a select few and since
I have volumes 1 thru 3 and like the story so far...I ordered it.
It's not the greatest but it checks all the science fantasy boxes for me.
I think once all the volumes are out, I bet they put them all in one
big beautiful book everyone loves so much. These volumes
are pretty thin and make good chapters.
Man with family troubles goes on an adventure with his brother
who works for a big company with mysterious motives on another planet.
Self Made Hero about 90 pages each volume. series started in 2011.
Any similar or other works titles like this one I should know about?
Now Humanoids is back to putting their logo on top of the spine? Sheesh.
They also done it for The Last Ones and Olympus which are not over-sized. I believe Miss Better Living Through Crime was also the same but haven't received my copy yet.
here is a pic of the upcoming english edition of Eternaut if anyone is interested. I totally forgot this is coming but now it's on my buylist (as it should be, right?)

So the new Asterix is out. So far only positive reviews. Most people seem to agree that it's better than the last one and miles ahead of basically anything Uderzo wrote. Some even say it's almost on level with Goscinny. Now I seriously can't wait for my copy to arrive.
Read it yesterday, a very fun read, and I have laughed out loud for one gag. Goscinny was a master of the 44 pages format storytelling, and this new story is in my opinion not as well balanced as the Goscinny stories in terms of structure (not much tension is built here to prepare the ending which is not a big one). I will do a re-read with my daughter and the oversized edition next week.
