Other than Ellis being brought back, Brubaker for sure. His Secret Avengers run with the character didn't excel, though Bru always thrives in writing solo characters with a small supporting casts over big teams. He'd have the noir feel down pat and few write a crime comic like Brubaker.

    Cullen Bunn.

And I'm going to need the three-piece suit look to go sooner than later.

Sorrentino would make me pick up this book again in a heart beat. I just wish they'd dial back on the noir and bump up the supernatural angle again.

Agreed. Plus his Doctor Voodoo was pretty good.

Someone out there is listening! Or reading, I guess?

I do quite like the three-piece suit look though.

I'm kinda amazed that no one on this thread mentioned Rucka. I think he would write a great Moon Knight.

I'm on board with Remender having a stint on the title.

And Mark Waid too, his Ruse is pretty great, I think he would also give a great run.

There is a European writer named Xavier Dorison who would be perfect for Moon Knight, in my opinion. He meshes genres effortlessly, and most of his stuff is based on a strong sense of psychological instability and horror. He's has some work with Dark Horse upcoming, so I don't think he has that usual chauvinism towards N American comics that so many European creators have.

Although I'd definitely be down for Mieville, too. I think he'd play up the social justice elements foremost, but he's pretty damn good with insanity, too.

Reading again the Rustling Husks, Manuel & Manuela Dexterity, Nun Of The Above & Catholic Girl-- the whole Xombi crew, really-- makes me very curious indeed about a John Rozum Moon Knight.
