PREVIEW: Captain Britain and the Mighty Defenders, #1

The Prowler combined with Spider Hero nice. Owch no spider sense. Like how Jen calls him Spider Hero but he wants to be called Spider Man. Interesting to see the foggy mixed memories people have are starting to fade. Unless some people have always had these dreams and talking about them gets you sent over the Shield. Makes you wonder how many people got sent over the wall before everyone took the hint and shut up about it. This series could give us some answers but I am not sure what is supposed to happen in so few issues.

That artwork was FANTASTIC!! (As it usually is with Davis/Farmer combo!) And the implications of the mixed memories actually made this Zone book interesting with the 'promise' of some answers to questions many of the crossover books aren't even asking. I was never a fan of Faiza as bearer of Excalibur and now assuming the Captain Britain title would normally be even more a turn off - but this seems clearly a cast from an alt-Earth that Doom plucked based on Yinsen's presence so I'll cut her some slack and just be happy she's one of the embarrassingly few trying to actually fix this Secret Wars. And yet, the concept with the purview of her power helps round out a promising ecclectic Defenders line-up.
