I've read that as well and more specifically, the only reason that there are fights in his book is because its something you expect to find in a superhero book.

It was, and you are ofc right that it's unnatural nature may have made it endure the test of time.

And rightly so otherwise Wonder Woman might as well become a missionary nun or something like that, sent to this world to preach and teach her pageant-deep kumbaya bullsh!t. So much fun..

Happy to see it finally announced!

Although it kind of annoys me to see that Batman, Superman and World's Finest are getting new Golden Age collections yet no word on Wonder Woman... I need those Marston stories, not the freaking Messner-Loebs/Deodato run!

It hasn't been officially solicited by DC yet, it's being listed in the edelweiss catalog but it was listed in a previous version of that with a 2015 release earlier this year.

Anyways this isn't strictly Wonder Woman: Earth One related but Yanick Paquette did a cover for Titans Hunt #3 so we get another peek at how he'll be depicting the amazons:

From the masterful minds of Grant Morrison (FINAL CRISIS, THE MULTIVERSITY) and Yanick Paquette (SWAMP THING, BATMAN, INC.) comes the most provocative origin of Wonder Woman you’ve ever seen — a wholly unique retelling that still honors her origins. For millennia, the Amazons of Paradise Island have created a thriving society away from the blight of man. One resident, however, is not satisfied with this secluded life — Diana, Princess of the Amazons, knows there is more in this world and wants to explore, only to be frustrated by her protective mother, Hippolyta. Diana finds her escape when Air Force pilot Steve Trevor, the first man she has ever seen, crashes onto their shores. With his life hanging in the balance, Diana ventures into the long forbidden world of men. The Amazons chase after her and bring her back to Paradise Island in chains to face trial for breaking their oldest law…staying separated from the world that wronged them. Thought provoking yet reverent, thoroughly modern but still timeless, the power and courage of Paradise Island’s greatest champion — Wonder Woman — is introduced in this new addition to DC’s New York Times best selling Earth One original graphic novel series.

On this thread also, I ask: Is that Donna Troy in the lower left corner, and Cassie Sandsmark above her?

Looks like it, especially since it looks like Donna is wearing a red shirt with stars that's reminiscent of her old jumpsuit costume.

    IDK about Cassie.

Anyone know how many volumes it will be?
Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

As far as I know, there's only been talk of the one volume so far.

Paquette mentioned the possibility of it being a trilogy:

Thanks Hypo. Seems quite unknown. I can't even tell if he's truly teasing a trilogy or just emptily not ruling one out.
