Time to bring back my Loki/Hercules agenda, I see. But seriously, I would really like to see Herc appearing in the Loki series. Not only for shipping reasons, but because it would probably be the best place for him to be developed; more screentime, and all the signs point to it getting a second season. Maybe that could lead to Herc getting his own show, too.
And they BETTER make him queer. If they don't, I feel like we're gonna lose our only shot at getting a queer version of Hercules in modern pop culture. I can't think of any media other than Marvel Comics that adapted that aspect of the character, and even they could've done a better job. Hercules is a character that's been criminally straightwashed, and I hope Marvel rectifies that in live-action!

There's still a lot of people saying he's going to appear in The Eternals. I've seen some of the more reputable people on Reddit claiming/hinting that there's "secret characters" that haven't been revealed yet for the movie. And to be fair not much of the plot is known about The Eternals, we would know more by now if it hadn't gotten postponed by the pandemic.
Oh yeah, I know people think Eternals is a likely debut place for him, specially since they had that casting call for a ''greek god'' that was never clarified. I'm just saying I see more potential in Loki. Eternals has too many lead roles already, so I'm not sure if Herc would end up being used too much there.
I think it's a requirement to work at Marvel. Chris Evans was hairy as the Human Torch (under another company), but suddenly, playing a dirt-poor 1940's era dude, he apparently *invented* depilating, perhaps during the Great Depression? (Well, the Asgardians probably beat him to it, since Thor was also the Viking equivalent of one of those freaky hypoallergenic cats.)
Meanwhile, over at DC, Henry Cavill's Superman was part Sasquatch and letting it all blow in the wind.
Eh. This genre. You've got clones waking up fully grown to adulthood, and, apparently, the growing process cuts their hair and shaves their faces? And the girl clones have make up! Is there a gene for that, just tweak the DNA and my hair is cut and styled, *forever,* and I never have to shave? 'Cause I want.
I'm still hoping they let Hercules be hairy though. I was surprised that they let Hulk have a hairy chest since he's a character that's actually portrayed as smooth in the comics. I just want MCU Hercules to be hairy, have a beard and most importantly NO MAN-BUN.
This is off-topic, but speaking of DC letting Henry Cavill be hairy as Superman, I have to say that nothing on this Earth will ever be as hot as Henry Cavill's Man of Steel running shirtless with his hairy pecs bouncing, looking like he leapt right off the page of a "Julius" gay porn comic.

The Week In Gay:
Sadly, I don't think there was any official LGBT content in Marvel's new digital-only releases this week. Unfortunate for the first new comics day of Pride month.
However Scream: Curse Of Carnage #6 did have Andi (Scream) meet a new friend named Guinevere who might be a love interest for her; their interactions had a flirty vibe to them.

Looks like we have confirmation that Nadia van Dyne is asexual. Well, at least in her novel written by Sam Maggs. Does anyone know if that is supposed to be canon in the 616 comics?
Huh, that's cool. I'm always down for some ace rep.
I loooooooove this narrative that Tommy is such a brat to his brother -- teasing him and what not and going on about how he's older and therefore better and yadda yadda yadda -- but loves his brother more than he'll ever admit and would/will threaten extreme violence (he's like a Mafia brother or something) when someone tries to step to Billy.
Having an entire team of LGBT heroes feels like pandering. What I want is a team that has a gay hero or 2 with straight members as well. It is always portrayed that we cant mingle or be friends with straight people. I feel like if there is a gay hero, they are always put with other gay heroes. Tommy and Kate being straight (rhyme!) is a good balance for the team.
I also hate that the media never portrays a gay man and a straight man being friends. All of my friends are cishet men and there aren't any problems between us. like wtf
Sounds like Marvel didn't approve her being gay as Whitley planned to pair her with Ying, so Whitley opted to write her as asexual. I'm guessing if Marvel (or Disney?) let Sam Maggs be more explicit about it in the novel then I have to imagine they approved it to some extent
I'm kind of curious if they'll keep it consistent in the comics but so far she hasn't shown romantic interest in anyone so I guess it wouldn't be difficult to just keep it that way.
