The Week In Gay:

Devil's Reign #4 - Viv Vision and the Champions have a small appearance in this issue.

Hawkeye: Kate Bishop #4 - America Chavez has another cameo by text message, but it hints at an on-panel appearance by her (and Cassie) in the final issue as Kate is calling them both in for back up.

New Mutants #24 - as usual there are a lot of LGBT characters running around in this book. We see Karma with her new love interest Galura (a relationship that was initiated in last year's PRIDE one-shot)

Secret X-Men #1 - a one-shot assembling the losing candidates from last year's X-Men election. Tempo is among the members of this one-off team.

X Deaths Of Wolverine #2 - Mystique is in this.

For digital-exclusive X-Men Unlimited Infinity Comic #21 started a new arc; this one focusing on Multiple Man and Strong Guy. No sign of any of Madrox's gay dupes as of yet.

Marvel's Voices: Legacy - Runa the Valkyrie gets a story of her own here.

Thor #22 - Runa appears here too, as does Angela.

X-Men #8 has an appearance by Negasonic Teenage Warhead, who is now outed to match her counterpart in the DEADPOOL movies (she's even making out with a girl who has pink hair, like her movie girlfriend)

Yep -- but I didn't know that yet at the time I posted the list. I just knew she was in the issue, but hadn't gotten the details yet. Once I found out I had a good laugh at the irony of my note. I'll fix it now.

Captain Marvel #36 - Phyla-Vell, Marvel Boy, Moondragon, Hulkling and Star-Lord all appear in this issue.

Dark Ages #5 of 6 - alternate versions of Honey Badger, Iceman, Deadpool, etc, appear in this What If tale.

Ms. Marvel: Beyond The Limit #2 of 5 - Zoe Zimmer appears in this issue, and Nadia Pym (Wasp II) guest stars along with Shay from G.I.R.L.

Strange Academy #16 - Dessy and Zoe are at the school dance

X Deaths Of Wolverine #3 - Daken and Scout both appear in this issue.

Its true that most of the appearances this week were small roles, but that isn't a bad thing in and of itself. If all the LGBT characters were ever getting was cameo appearances, then it would be a concern--but that just isn't the case with the number of LGBT characters in team book ensembles, ongoing supporting roles, etc.

Marvel does have a shortage of LGBT characters headlining their own solo projects at the moment, but we did get a bit of good news on that front this past week with the announcement of the IRON CAT miniseries! It was what was intended to be the next arc of the Black Cat solo book before it was cancelled, and now its been brought back as its own standalone mini.

Fantastic Four #41 - Kaylo and Kor appear along with the rest of the Unparalleled as Johnny Storm helps them fight off an invasion by Annihilus.

X-Men #9 - Destiny appears...and has definite opinions on the man Rogue married.

Surprised to see GLAAD snub every Wiccan and Hulking related title and Hickman's Inferno event. It's a very DC-heavy list with 5 DC entries and GotG being the lone Marvel entry. Though it does underline how DC has more titles and minis with LGBTQ+ characters as the main star or stars than Marvel.

I understand Inferno not making it since the focus is spread among too many characters compared to the other books here. However, America Chavez had a solo last year and that didn't make it. RIP.
