What happened with Serangela? I know Sera died and then Queen of Hel was about Angela becoming the eponymous queen to get back with her or something but?

Angela managed to bring Sera back from the dead at the end of Queen Of Hel's first arc, and they lived happily together in NYC for a while, the book got cancelled and then Bendis happened. He used Angela in his GOTG book for months without one single mention of Sera, and when he finally decided to address the situation, in the penultimate issue of his run, he basically wrote Sera off of Angela's story; claimed she just disappeared from the apartment she shared with Angela and gave no explanation to what happened to her. That happened in March of 2017. Ever since, the story's been unresolved. Just recently, an editor confirmed via Twitter there's still no solid plans for Sera.

They should hook her up with Brunnhilde. I actually haven't watched Ragnarok but I read that there's a blonde Valkyrie there as a reference to her and Tessa said she sees her as her lover.

BLESS HIS SOUL! At least in the comics we know writers are allowed to openly show characters being queer, so that's something to look forward to, as opposed to the constant erasure of the movies.

I support this 100%. After this book is done, send her to the 616, put her and Brunnhilde in a title together (maybe a new Fearless Defenders?) and let them be a badass couple of Valkyries.

Saladin's interview about the team has him mention "Our Valkyrie is known as the Lone Defender of Asgard, and she's a tankard-draining, maiden-wooing, giant-slaying thunderbolt of a woman. " Which certainly makes it sound like it's only the ladies she has an eye out for. Should be fun to see.

Hm, that and the way they made her all bulky does feel like she's just a lesbian. I asked him on twitter.

But yeah I figure she'll have to be different than her "main" self from the films (all Exiles characters are in some way). So that's a relatively easy difference to incorporate. On top of being Asgard's last defender here.

I agree about the costume. The white/golden one was so much prettier.

Anyone else relentlessly waiting on Tessa Thompson's Twitter page to see what she says about this? She seemed so passionate about her Valkyrie being queer in the movies, I'm curious to see what she says about them incorporating that into the comics.
