This is one of my favorite images of Karma
Additionally, I'd love to see America get some more attention. I love the back story Gillen left us with in the finale of Young Avengers -- being a renegade hero-wannabe, from a Utopian society of Princesses. Its adorable. And she's so bad ass. I'd love to see her slowly popping up in other books like Hawkeye -- to reunite with Kate, even if just for a social visit, or maybe in Ms.Marvel to do a little team up with Kamala, or to have her run into Carol in Captain Marvel -- all leading up to a solo or mini of her own.

Yeah, an America comic would sell like crazy and I believe I would like kierion gillan to continue writing her to explore more of her character and mythos.
And speaking of teamups she might have a cute crush on carol
Hi, I'm new to this site and this is my first post. I'm a gay Marvel fan and I've been a huge X-Men fan my whole life. I've heard that Marvel's team books are usually the most successful, and almost all of Marvel's LGBT characters are or have been a member of a team, whether it's X-Men or Young Avengers or Runaways. And as much as I would enjoy seeing an LGBT character lead their own prominent series I think I personally would really like to see Anole leading his own team of X-Men. I feel like Anole and his generation of mutants have been held back for a while; didn't Pixie become a full-fledged X-Man but then Wolverine made her a student again when she sided with him during the Schism? Anyways I'd love to see Anole as the leader of an X-Men team including Pixie, Rockslide, Indra, etc. and also with the other gay and lesbian students Bling and Graymalkin on the team.
I agree, I would love to see anole lead a team as well
Welcome MasterOfMagnetism!
I wouldn't personally want to see Anole lead a book - he doesn't seem important enough for that - but then if they went ahead and did Generation Anole it's not as if I would complain. But I swear, it would be cancelled after like five issues.

Now that Anole and the majority of his generation's student body has "graduated" -- with the exception of Rockslide and Hellion(?) -- I'd love to see he and the other X-youth join forces with other young heroes of the MU just as they did during the finale of Young Avengers.
I'm absolutely dying for Marvel to put out a YA (Young Adult) Marvel title wherein the former proteges, students, trainees, and cadets combine their collective powers, skills, resources to assemble a youth-based-crisis-response-unit.
They could use the Avengers Academy as their base of operations and respond to various threats and / or occurrences unique to their skillsets and experience (new mutants discovering their powers for the first time, bullying , Young Masters attacks, natural disasters, and general safety patrols of various locations etc etc).
Anole was the leader of his squad back when he was a trainee so he could easily fall right back into a response team field leader role. I love that he's this super charismatic, likable guy in spite of what would otherwise be viewed as a more unfortunate mutation.
I feel like Anole is one of those characters that I'm meant to like, because of the gay thing, but that actually, he isn't (or at hasn't been able to be) a very interesting character.
If an LGBT character is to have an ongoing, I'd certainly buy Ms America as an on going, but I'd buy all the alt. covers each month of a Wiccan ongoing. He's gay, Jewish and magic, plus he has connections to one of the most interesting families in Marvel history, and his real connection to Wanda/Vision really needs to be properly explored. As does Teddy's legacy, and a Wiccan on going could totally cover them both.
Plus Ms America could guest, as could Loki, plus numerous other teen characters, and not just the LGBT ones.
On saying that, with the whole multi-verse nature of Secret War.....I am certainly hoping for a Ms America focused mini or YA mini with her as a focus. It would make a lot of sense and would give us an excuse to have more Chavez/YA action.
I will raise my throne above the Stars of God
Here's a WIP of my 'hipster Wiccan' piece, one year in the making (well, I took the base picture a while back.)

I am doing a bit of a Greg Land in terms of the tracing, but it's not as if I'm working for Marvel or that I'm superimposing pornstar faces, so there's that.

In the case of Anole I do also feel like he's a character that could be very interesting and likeable but hasn't been showcased enough, although I feel the same way about most of that generation of X-students. Anole himself has felt that the students have been basically just cannon fodder for the "real" X-Men. Although I enjoyed him in X-men: Hellbound and X-Men Legacy: Collision.
And when it comes to the young gay Marvel characters Wiccan on paper should be my favourite by far; Magneto has a gay grandson is all you had to say to get my interest, and when you add the fact that he's a mutant and a mage that just makes him more awesome. I do really like Wiccan but I personally would like him a hell of a lot more if he was more of an impassioned mutant/gay rights revolutionary, like a more heroic version of Magneto. (In case you couldn't tell; Magneto is my favourite character, lol)
I wonder if Wiccan and Hulkling might eventually get their own ongoing series. A lot of people like them but a lot of people don't like them too, they're rather divisive. And it's not just homophobic straight people, I've heard gay people say they think the two of them are just one big gay-acceptance PSA from Marvel. (Which I totally don't agree with)
I think Wiccan/Hulkling is intriguing and controversial and maybe not the healthiest and open to a huge amount of interpretation... but then again, the exact same thing can be said about Gambit/Rogue, Emma/Scott, Storm/Wolverine, Steve/Tony ( ), etc. Comic book relatonships ARE screwy and most of them AREN'T what you'd want in real life. I'm okay with them not being perfect and having issues like the whole "Did I create you" thing come up. Because watching them beat it was just as satisfying as watching them punch out any supervillain.

I would love a Wiccan and Hulkling mini called "Excellent Adventure".
I want a Billy Kaplan ongoing like I want to clean running water.
And I WANT clean running water forever and always. Please Marvel hear my pleas
I love Wiccan&Hulkling and would never, EVER break them up... but this made me laugh!
LOVE this; it made me smile. I hope Al Ewing does out one of his Mighty Avengers, so we fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinally have an openly LGBT Avenger. Power Man (Victor) would be my vote!
Like most others, I massively disagree with this statement. There has never been an openly LGBT Avenger. We've never had a lesbian or gay solo series. No major team has ever been led by an openly LGBT character. No LGBT character has appeared in the MCU (despite numerous films). And if it weren't for the X-verse, LGBT characters would still be a foot-note in most comics. Yes, it's gotten sooooooo much better (again, vastly thanks to the X-verse) over the last 5 years and we should celebrate that... but to say "huge part" or "featured prominently" is just false.
The world's most watched comedy right now is Modern Family; and that has main cast members in a happy gay relationship (Mitch is played by an openly gay actor) with an adopted daughter; and the series only two-parter to date was their wedding (which was HILARIOUS). That's pretty huge for media. ER, another of America's most beloved shows, had a major LGBT character not just in-charge of the ER but eventually the whole hospital.
If there was an new openly LGBT Avenger I don't know who I would like it to be. Didn't Captain America make Wiccan, Hulkling and a couple of the other original members of the Young Avengers official Avengers? I thought I saw that before, but maybe they don't consider themselves Avengers because they decided to stick with they're own team? And as for Victor Alvarez I assumed he and Ava Ayala were or were going to become a couple. But if Victor does turn out to be gay or bi then I suggest he hook-up with Prodigy.
