I don't expect the new book to touch on it at all, but the idea of Makkari swapping genders is interesting in light of his close friendship with his former roommate Wendell Vaughn (Quasar). Back in the 90s QUASAR series, Wendell and "Mike" were so close that even Wendell's love interest originally wondered if the two of them were a couple.

    The Week In Gay:

    Amazing Spider-Man #52.LR - Black Cat appears

Champions #2 - Viv is still part of the group

Marauders #15 - X Of Swords part 14. none of the openly LGBT cast members have much to do in this chapter

Excalibur #14 - X Of Swords part 15. Betsy has her duel in this issue.

Is there anything I missed this week?

The preview for the upcoming Power Pack relaunch has them mentioning Rikki as Julie's girlfriend as well.

I noticed that too, and was glad to see it. I'm not counting on seeing Rikki turn up in the mini at all -- or at least, not for more than a cameo or something, since the focus is meant to be on the Power Pack kids -- but it was good to at least see the relationship acknowledged and confirmed that it is still ongoing.

Maestro #4 of 5 - an evil alternate future Hercules is the main antagonist

Marvel #2 - one of the three stories in this issue has Iceman in it (along with several other X-Men) in a story set in the past, after the X-Men's first big roster expansion (when Thunderbird was still alive and on the team).

    Power Pack #1 of 5

X-Men #15 - Mystique appears alongside the rest of the Quiet Council

X Of Swords: Destruction - the conclusion to the "X Of Swords" crossover, and several LGBT mutants take part in the big final battle.

Based on the set photos it seems like Loki and Female Loki (DiMartino) are separate characters from different timelines, rather than one person.

New headcanon: their character from the FOX-Men has now come out as Kenny Pryde, which is how Bobby from that universe realized he likes men.
