That is how I see the way Coates is writing too, T'challa is the protagonist but he's the King of a nation and showing his perspective above all others would be really bad since it would show the worst part of monarchy, only the king has a voice. Wakanda being the focus and many other characters being introduced and giving voice would correct that.
The Midnight Angels getting a solo next year would already be great news to me. I know it's highly unlikely but it would work greatly as a second book focused on what's happeing in Wakanda but from a different perspective so the main book can focus more on T'challa's. I would love a if this second book was a Shuri solo too as was suggested in the BP thread but I really want a title led by Aneka and Ayo. That'd be a great LGBT solo or duo...
Piss you off why? If the concept doesn't intrigue you, why not just... not read it? And it's just an idea anyway.
There's nobody suggesting to put all lgbt characters at Marvel on one or a couple of exclusive titles and not have them show up anywhere else. That would be segregating lgbt characters. A queer team member rarely gets page time but in an all lgbt team that wouldn't be a problem. I'd love for there to be another all LGBT team of Young Avengers (Like Karolina Dean, Lightspeed, Striker, Cullen Bloodstone, Noh-Varr and as the leader Prodigy or something like that) and if people want to call that segregation then it'd fine by me.
In my experience groups of friends consisting of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, pansexuals, asexuals, transgender, genderqueer etc... are very common. As are LGBTQIA+ people having mostly straight/cisgender friends. An all queer team might look apart but that's not a bad thing. That was the thing that I liked the most about Gillen's run.
That's how you know you're sickening.

you think they'd actually make firestar gay or bisexual because it would be quite hilarious seeing an Amazing Friends reunion having Peter be awkward when he finds out that both Bobby and Angelica expressing their sexual interest. and i kinda feel that Angelica should be one of those characters who would express a sexual interest in both genders.
Claws: Sexual dimorphism. (More precisely, mothers furiously protecting their young vs. men hunting prey.)
Eyes: No idea. (But Big Two comics tend to be inconsistent about those in general, anyway.)
Obviously I meant meaningful representation, not glorified wallpaper, duh.
Death's Head, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, House of X, Powers of X.
Ascender, DIE, Saga, The Wicked + The Divine.
Adventures of the Super Sons, Batman Beyond, Catwoman, Lois Lane, Naomi, Young Justice.
Where's Firestar? I miss the Amazing X-Men team so much. Iceman, Karma, Northstar, Storm, Nightcrawler on the same team. There should be more X-Books out.
Still, having an all-lgbt team wouldn't take away the lgbt characters that are already showing up in other titles in meaningful ways. We have more than enough LGBT characters on limbo and dead to have a team of LGBTQIA+ Heroes facing off against LGBTQIA+ Villains.
A team book with Rictor, Shatterstar, Karma, Northstar, Benjamin Deeds and Bling! for example. Great lgbt representation and a team of mutants that could potentially have a more positive approach to things since I'm getting tired of the doom and gloom of Extraordinary and it wouldn't take away any of the characters that are currently being used. It doesn't have to be either/or.
I am enjoying the current BP run and I especially like the story-line featuring Ayo & Aneka. I've always been a fan of the Dora Milaje (peep the sig), but I agree with some of the comments/critiques that Coates has made of them. I like that with just two short issues, he has definitely added a lot more depth to Aneka and has introduced Ayo as a character who I want to know more about. As I stated previously in this thread, the idea of the two black woman, who are also lovers, outwardly defying 10,000 years of cultural tradition and openly challenging the most power military on the MU Earth is definitely empowering. While I fear that one or both of them will eventually become evil/villain, I can't help but to admire them and I hope they continue to be written well.
We are the Dora Milaje. We are the daughters of the 18 tribes of Wakanda. We are the teeth of the Panther God. Out of 10,000 years of sweat and bloodshed and battle are we born. We are the women of this ancient land. Deadliest of the species. And our time has come!
Because there are plenty of characters in Marvel's back catalog of characters that haven't gotten a shot at a book yet or in a while that I'd rather see get a book over characters that are only 2 months old.
It all goes back to Marvel not showing enough support to the characters they already have. And the fans those characters have.
I doubt they'd make Firestar LGBT. I'm fine with it either way, but I don't see them doing it. And frankly, I don't think Firestar being LGBT would affect Peter all that much.
I would like to see him react to Bobby's outing though.
Agree 100%. Except the part about one or both becoming villains, I see them more as idealisic anti-heroines who will do whatever it takes.
That would take Peter to show up in Extraordinary X-Men because you know... It's not like there's any chance of Bobby showing up in other titles, that's for the characters who writers are trying to push.
Ok so I watched the first scene of the X-Men gay porno. It was... ok, I guess. I mean it got the job done... if ya' know what I mean. But the sex was waaay too repetitive and vanilla, when one of the characters is Wolverine it should be rough animal sex. Also I hate to sound like I'm body-shaming the porn stars but if I'm watching a superhero porn parody I want the guys to be ripped. Superheroes are sculpted like ancient Greek statues and there are men with sculpted bodies in gay porn. I know Colby Keller has never been really ripped but I know I've seen him more muscular than he was in that scene and if you're playing Wolverine, or pretty much any superhero for that matter, then come on guys... hit the gym.
Darius Ferdynand kinda' has a good body to play Wolverine 'cause he's short and muscular... and well-endowed and uncircumcised, but he's too smooth and blonde and British.

Haha gross. Oh well, I guess they had to use the actors who have signed on to that particular studio though. Still, I am surprised only white gay men could appear in it. Oh my gosh I'm such a left leaning tumblr visiting cliche now
Have people forgotten about Hulkling and Wiccan so quickly? Arguably the avengers are larger than the x-men these days and those characters could easily take off given the chance of more exposure.
Oh by the way, everyone avoid the "should captain America have a boyfriend" thread, it's gone toxic now
