LGBT+ Marvel Characters Discussion

Was there much LGBT representation there? I can only think of Masquerade and because of the shape shifting abilities, I'm never clear how far to count that as transgender or just using powers, like Xavin, whose story is so far from being a proper story about transgender issues as to not count, for me anyway.

There was also Donner and Blitzen. Codenames aside, they were pretty neat. Didn't get a whole lot of page time, iirc, and only a couple of appearances after DC acquired Milestone.

Also on the DC end of things, Midnighter and Apollo #1 is out next week. I'm a little surprised they're shipping out the new mini before Midnighter's second trade has hit the stands.

1) Honestly I don't identify all that much with most characters but if I had to pick one then maybe Graymalkin. I've never been gay-bashed like he was it's just that he's the kind of brooding loner that I was like growing-up and going through high school. Nowadays I might be more like teen Iceman, openly gay but struggling to finally get out there and meet guys.

2) If we're just talking about LGBT characters then it would probably be adult Iceman. Although there's plenty of straight guy characters that I'm more attracted to.

I find it very difficult to relate to any fictional characters. However, if I had to pick one, it would probably be Spider-Man. I know Peter Parker isn't LGBT, but he seems like the most down-to-earth, every-day man in comics.

So unless someone can think of an almost 30, gay, 9-5'er with a long-term boyfriend, "white picket fence" house, & a smidge of OCD, I'll stick to Mr. Parker

As for finding fictional characters attractive? I have a whole list! Haha, but in the interest of staying on topic I would have to go with Hercules. However, Dauterman's shirtless, bearded Thor is giving Herc a run for his money!

1) Wiccan easily. Aside from a slight facial/hair similarity, I'm also the nerdy fanboy type.
Maybe Anole. I'm not quite as sweet and nice as Billy and Victor although initialy rather innocent as well has gotten far more of an edge to him over time.

2) I'm attracted to plenty of characters. Highest on the list would be Iceman though. There's always been something about him. I've got a thing for sweet, funny guys.
That's what made his coming out such a pleasant surprise for me.

1) Wiccan. Kinda geeky and nerdy, a bit complicated sometimes, Scarlet Witch fanboy. These kinda feels like random reasons but the truth is that I can't explain that much.

2) Daken. Hercules and Thor by Dauterman since someone else mentioned, and lots of other straight characters.

1) I don't think I identified with the LGBT characters, not that they're bad characters but I don't really share their experience. The closest is Eli Bradley (please come back!).

I don't know if anyone here might be interested but there's a new character on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. that might be a lesbian or bi. She's a new agent named "Piper". There was a scene where she accidentally makes a double-entendre while talking with agent May and it gave me the feeling that maybe they're implying that she has a crush on May.

I am not LGBT, but I would say Iceman. Not because of his sexuality but the whole joking and generally lighthearted nature of the character. I always felt, both before and after he came out, that he seemed most like a "ordinary" guy you could just hang out with and drink a beer with. Him being gay has not changed that.

2) Yeah I dont really know this. Mystique maybe? For obvious reasons I think?
